Plas-Ties' Biodegradable Ties are made from 90% recycled or post-consumer/industrial scrap metal. They perform identically to our Standard Twist Ties & are not affected by moisture or sunlight, so premature degradation of its shelf-life is not an issue. A certified, independent lab confirmed an estimated 6 month to 1 year span for total bio-degradation of paper, plastic, and wire in a landfill environment.
